Questions can often lead to inquiry and phenomenon usually makes people think deeply. Thus, students can voluntarily practice and seek the truth on their own. In this module, we are going to learn some commonly used vocabulary and sentence patterns about scientific experiments. In terms of grammar, we’re going to learn the expressing ways of Degrees of Comparison. Besides, students should also learn to use the forms of modifier of Degrees of Comparison. In pronunciation, students are asked to learn the intonation of general questions and special questions. At the same time, after learning this module, students are required to improve their abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing as well as some strategies of learning. INTRODUCTION Some vocabulary on science and technology, experiments are enumerated(列举) in this section. Three activities have been designed. Students ought to get familiar with the meanings of the useful words and expressions so that they can get ready for the study activities. VOCABULARY AND SPEAKING This part introduces vocabulary of numerals. Besides, five activities have been designed here for the students to distinguish and calculate the numbers and percentage. GRAMMAR 1 In this part, we will learn degrees of comparison of the adjectives. It mainly deals with the expressing ways of multiple. The Second Period The General Idea of This Period In this period, we’re going to read a passage on the reaction of metals. Teaching Aims 1. Improve the students’ ability of reading comprehension. 2. Get the students to have a global understanding of the reading passage. 3. Train the students to guess the meaning of a word according to the context. Teaching Important Points 1. Train the students’ reading ability. 2. Get the Ss to understand the reading text. Teaching Difficult Point How to improve the students’ reading ability. Teaching Methods 1.
